A Free Antivirus for Everybody
A couple of words to describe ClamWin: it’s free, open source, updated and installable on every version of Windows (also “Server” editions).
Just download it from the official site and install it, there’s no need of settings and it will run immediately. One of the better features of this free antivirus is the fact that it doesn’t need any particular mind: it works in the “background” without annoying users with notices, requests or other and it informs about done (daily) updates of virus definitions with a little ”baloon” that disappears after some seconds.
it’s less known than other no-cost antiviruses like AVG or Avast! but I can tell that it’s a good software, because I’m using only it since months and it never gived me any problem.
